K9 Search Team

Our History

In 2007, Michael "Boz" Garvin facilitated the incorporation of his search dogs Attie, Nancy and Emma into service with Second Alarmer’s. As the word spread, he found that many other members had an interest and a passion to do this type of work and our bona-fide dog team was born.

Today

K9 380 is an entirely volunteer team. We are proud members of Pennsylvania Search and Rescue Council (PSARC) and train to their standards. We are a team of 10 human members (3 flankers and 7 dog handlers) and 8 canine members, consisting of three search qualified bloodhounds, a search qualified German Shepherd and a search qualified Labrador Retriever. Currently there are three dogs in training.  We train weekly and we are on call 24/7 365 days a year and are always ready to bring home those who are missing.
