Annual Subscription Drive

Why should you become a Subscription Member?

The cost of ambulance service can be as high as $1,500 depending on the level of service provided. Most insurance companies, including Medicare and commercial providers, pay only a portion of the cost of ambulance care and transportation, requiring the patient to pay a co-payment or deductible. The patient’s share of the bill for ambulance service may be over half the total bill. As a contributor to our annual subscription drive, Second Alarmer’s will waive any charges not covered by insurance, including deductibles and co-pays, when your subscription meets the requested donation amount AND is made at least 48-hours prior to ambulance service.

How your subscription benefits Second Alarmer's?

Second Alarmer’s operates five station, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with committed staff providing Advanced Life Support service. Providing a dedicated staff of pre-hospital healthcare professionals around the clock is very expensive. We use funds raised by our subscription drive to purchase new ambulances and state-of-the-art medical equipment. Our costs to provide service continues to rise, while reimbursement by insurance companies has dropped; therefore, we rely on billing for our services and our annual subscription drive. The generosity of the community in contributing to our subscription drive significantly helps us to provide the best possible emergency care.

If you should require emergency ambulance service, we will respond, regardless of whether you donate. Those who choose not to contribute will be responsible for any amount not paid by their insurance company.
